I’m Done!!
That is exactly what I want to scream when I get so many negative, rude, ignorant, spiteful (I could go on and on) commenters on this site. But there’s no way I’m closing down this site just because of a few jerks with nothing better to do with their time. Then I would be turning my back on those who are really wonderful, and who I love hearing from each day.
To the trolls: If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all. You are hateful and you roam these websites with the only intentions of spreading ignorance and hate. You can no longer use my site as a vehicle for this.
From now on, all comments will be reviewed and negative or hurtful comments will be deleted. So if you want to continue to write, have fun wasting your time. I’m am SO done wasting my time on you.
Hi! I'm MDG.
I am an American woman in love with an Indian man. I moved to Bangalore, India July 25th, 2010, and am happy to be sharing my experiences with you!
Please don't hesitate to comment or contact me directly. I love both!

Grace don’t bother about stats … those are just numbers. People discussing stats don’t discuss problems. No, not negative rant but you and majority Aussies deny that racism even exists because of your upbringing.
Otherwise how would you explain Molotov hurled at an Indian student studying at his home in Melbourne, or unprovoked attack on a business man in a train captured on cam, or a group of men barging into an Indian home assaulting roomies (list goes on..) ? Forget it; refute it… that’s just big city crime isn’t it?
After scores of such instances, debates in parliament, protests etc… Australians have only shown some painful lament but nothing to subdue the rabid face of racism. I wonder if the right message would have ever gone to these perpetrators. Nonetheless it established their point – visa applications shrunk to half, people started leaving and most importantly it satiated hidden desires of inferiority complex.
I already mentioned in my note that a huge cultural gap exists. Can’t deny that these ‘villagers’ would mix in OZ society at all. What does it tell u about IELTS anyways, is it a sham?
So you don’t have your own blog, do you? I mean by what little you described above, that would make engaging storyline. Punjabis are spirited, dynamic people and we just can’t get enough of sard jokes. They take everything in good spirit though.
So what can we suggest someone who is already somewhat culturally familiar with country Indian folk @ Oz and now living amidst wild Punjabi gusto??
Give us a dose of new cusswords… see you are getting some fans already!
Sharell and Grace, just let me know when you’d like me to end this and I’ll stop publishing gallas’ comments. Sorry gallas, I understand you came looking for a debate and have some things you’d like to get off your mind, but rules are rules (my rules!) and I don’t want things getting out of hand with another endless “I’m right – no I’m right” rant.
Gallas, you need to look a little deeper. For example, examine who through the Molotov. You’ll find it was Lebanese youths, and hence an ethnic problem. Nothing to do with the white Australians:

The problem with people such as yourself is that you are running around with a distorted view of the situation. Please conduct a bit more research (preferably first hand) before commenting further about Australians causing harm to Indians. The issue is more complex than you realise.
Gallas,
I won’t debate further. MDG’s blog is a happy place!!
MDG,
feel free to moderate as per your wish but I don’t mind a healthy discussion.
Each and every person is entitled to an opinion and a way to voice that opinion.
Jubee, I won’t say here but in the beginning Google was a big help!!
Sharell,
The best part was I outed them in Punjabi “Menu samaj andi” – I understand
On a completely unrelated topic, I am considering starting a blog, I think I would have plenty to write about, but am a bit shy as to whether people will want to read my rants….
What do you ladies think??
Oh, you should definitely start one Grace! I guarantee people will want to read.
Please do it! I’d be interested for sure.
Go for it Grace
Grace,
spot on! I am an Indian dude. Totally agree with you. Sometimes my fellow douchebags are an embarrassment.
