He Returned Safely – Bearing Gifts!
My Indian Man showered me with gifts! They just kept coming out of his suitcase as if it were Mary Poppins’ magic bag! But I would have to say my most favorite gift was the lovely salwar kameez. Now don’t mind the wrinkles, it DID just travel thousands of miles by suitcase and no, I couldn’t wait to iron it before putting it on! (can you even iron these things??!!)
Me in the salwar kameez. I was so excited to put it on that I forgot to include the matching bangles and earrings!
For my parents, he brought a miniture figurine of the Taj Mahal made out of marble.
My Indian Man putting the pieces together. The Taj is now a part of their home.
Since these are our very first pictures on this site, I thought I should say; HI EVERYONE! This is us! That’s me (goofy looking one in the salwar kameez) and my cutie patootie Indian love! So now you can finally put faces to this website. Nice to meet ‘cha!
Hi! I'm MDG.
I am an American woman in love with an Indian man. I moved to Bangalore, India July 25th, 2010, and am happy to be sharing my experiences with you!
Please don't hesitate to comment or contact me directly. I love both!

You look lovely in Indian clothes! BTW you can iron them by turning inside out so as not to damage the iron as well the work on fabric.
My MIL didn’t let me keep the Taj mahal in our house saying it is a mazaar, place where some one dead is buried, Mumtaz mahal in this case. I actually had to throw mine
You look very cute in your Indian attire, and your Indian love looks very sweet. Blessings to you both…xxx
That’s a lovely salwar kameez!

Thank you Shalini! His mom and him did a great job didn’t they? It fits perfectly. They also picked out a kurta, which fits great too! I will have to post a picture of that sometime soon.
Sharell, yes, glad he’s back. I hope either of us aren’t going in opposite directions again for a long time.
[...] don’t ruin the entire thing – or maybe that’s exactly what I should do? No!…it’s beautiful and MIM’s mom picked it out herself. And just as MIM told me, “Why’d I buy it if [...]
