Perpetual College Students

You know, often I wish MIM and I had real, bonafide careers so we could get on with our lives together. But it’s days like today that make me so happy we’re still living the life of a student; MIM came to work with me today! My second job which takes place during the weekends is demoing almond butter in grocery stores. Demo wha?? you may be asking? Well, it goes a little something like this: Free Samples
The only reason MIM agreed to come and sit in a the cafe of a grocery store for 3 hours is because he had homework and studying to do. The only reason MIM sits with me at B&N or Borders so I can happily flip through 100 books and get a sugar high from coffee and pastries is because he has homework and studying to do…well, you get the point. How in the world will I convince MIM to do these things with me when he actually gets a real, bonafide career and has no school work?

I think it’s about time he signs up for the P.H.D. program…

Ok, you can stop laughing now. A girl’s gotta do what I girl’s gotta do!

  • I feel the same way about being a student. Sometimes you feel trapped….sometimes you feel so free! For instance, yesterday I dropped everything I had to do to go look at some apartments that just opened up on the beach. Dave can’t leave work till 7pm. period. I guess the lesson might be to find things to appreciate about wherever you are….? maybe.

oh, and i totally stole that website traffic feed thingy for my blog. thanks! :) xo

haha love ya girl! You can steal anything you want from my site :)

Dave can’t leave work until 7pm? That’s a little late eh? But I see I got my answer about the move!

I think you have the funnest, most freeing life as a student out of anyone I know with jobs. For example, I don’t know an hour in the day Linz doesn’t seem to be working. And it helps you live by the beach in the warm sun – you brat!

    Come home soon!

  • We signed a lease for the beach apt a couple of days ago. 2 bedrooms!!! great for guests!!! and guests with boyfriends!!!! :) we are literally on the beach and have an ocean view from our balcony. come play!

we are coming home for xmas so I will definitely see you then! Cant wait!!

  • MDG
