Meet Tatiana!
I haven’t written anything about teaching ESL yet and the semester’s almost over! Therefore this post is well deserved. For those who do not know, I teach beginner listening and speaking classes at the college. One of my students, Tatiana, is literally the sweetest girl in the world. Tatiana is from the Ukraine and loves fashion, so you never know what style clothing or color eyeshadow she will show up in. Oh, and she’s a talker. I’m starting to believe she must black out when she starts one of her long monologues because I can wave a book in her face, flail my arms, and scream LET’S GET BACK TO OUR STUDIES and she continues on in broken English without so much as a pause to catch her breath.
Oh but it’s so hard not to love her. Before and after classes she showers me with hugs and kisses and “I love you teacher!” The way she gives me compliments makes me think I’m the best thing that’s happened to her since sliced bread.

YAY be glad to have students like that and not ones that hate you. Glad that you shared this with us. It must be hard sometimes to teach ESL I bet. Hope this find you two well
Hi Nicki, actually, so far my experiences with TESL have all been positive. Mostly every student really wants to learn (unlike high school Spanish class. Or maybe I was the only one entirely uninterested back then!?) And if you’re interested in learning about other cultures, it never gets boring. I only have positive things to say about it so far!
That is great! I only ever came across one person that never liked teaching it. Me I love learning about other cultures it interest me to no end. I’m glad that it never get boring either I would think that it would not get boring. High school Spanish to me was boring as well you are not along their I think that it’s the way that they teach it or something.
Who is this hottie? Since you’re taken can you please hook me up with your student. Let me know asap. I think I want to date a girl now. Its been so long. I wonder what if I die single. I don’t want to be alone. I take good care of myself. I use hair oil. I shower. I dress nicely. If you want I can send you my pictures. I’m not being pushy. Its just a thought if you don’t like it even then its all good. I just thought everyone has freedom of speech so why can’t I voice my feelings??? I’m not a bad guy.
